Did you know #5: An app can be installed only once

Whether it is Secure Folder, Work Profile or Multi-User environment, an app can be installed only once in a device at any given point in time.

If an app is installed in the Main Profile OR in any of the above-mentioned environments, any subsequent 'installation' does not involve installation of the app a second time. 

All that happens is creation of a new storage area for the app in theAndroid/ Data folder of the respective environment.

This is why:

1. You cannot install different versions of the same app in different environments. In other words, if an app is already installed in one profile, you cannot install another version of the same app in another profile/ environment.

2. An app can be updated from any of the user environments.

This is the update situation in normal playstore vs secure folder playstore on my mobile. Updating apps in normal play store didn't update those apps in secure folder.
