DeX for M Series

Wondering about Samsung M series devices..

This will be very useful if Samsung starts including DeX for these devices as they will be useful for most of the users and hardware wise these devices are also capable of handling dex mode.. not sure why Samsung is not adding dex on M series devices. Considering the feature and value proposition, this will make M series more and more popular as compared to other premium series. By inclusion of DeX mode in M series, will also cover wider user base. This will make M series more valuable and usable in current market scenario and it will help Samsung to gain more market share with such a simple change.

This will definitely gain more attention as user base will drastically increase because of DeX inclusion in M series

In case if Samsung still don't consider this, there are few alternatives already available and ready to capture this user segment. That's one of the reason why Chromebook sales is on the rise..

look for DeX alternatives on Android and you will be surprised.. every Android device is capable of utilising additional display it just matter of user interface..

I don't think its that usefull as the main functionality of Dex is you can use your phon like computer as with Dex you can connect Mouse keybord and monitor to your phone. but if you have desktop or computer already at home then Dex is of no use as all the Dex Functionality are already inside Laptop.
Dex is for Small group of people who dont have Full desktop or Laptop I mean person with only monitor keybord and mouse (no cpu) it that case you can attach your phone to monitor and use it as a desktop like typing email on Fullsize keybord (as you no need to use small display of mobile to type) or can watch your photos on big monitor insted of small mobile screen or open any microsoft document and check it on big monitor etc... but try to imagin honesty how may person are in this world who only have monitor keybord & Just mouse I don't think there is a big market for this as now a days almost all the customer have a desktop or Laptop at home.
I know there is a software called Dex for PC also but its useless as a person who has already installed "Microsoft office 360" on his PC would not like to connect his phone to PC and then open Dex Software and then try to edit office document on Dex Software (as the same can be done directly on PC using microsoft office software) this just dosent make any sense.

And Lastly the most important thing to notice is " Marketing " this Feature are saved specifically for Flagship phone if Samsung started giving this feature to budget Phones like around 10 to 15K Price Phone then there will be no difference between Flagship & budget phone customer who want this feature will see that this feature is available in budget Phone then why would someone buy so expensive Flagship phone
so the point here to be noted is that this is just marketing to deferenciate budget or Midrange Phone from Flagship phone (if you want this feature than you are forced to buy Flagship phone)
The same marketing can be found in many other area of the Phone like " s Pen " spen can be fitted in any samsung Phone and if you buy note 8 spen separately it only cost approx RS899 on amazon that dosent mean samsung start Fitting spen in every phone and add extra Rs 899 to the original price and start selling the phone I know specific display is also required to run spen. But I think you got my point that some feature are execusive to Flagship phone only (actually they want to make partition between poor and rich if there is only little difference between Flagship & midrange then Flagship sales will fall down) everybody will move towards budget & Midrange
but honestly I can say that if you don't have regular use of documents or you are cartoonist or artist (for spen) You really don't need this extra feature of Dex and spen in day to day life just enjoy your normal Phone and don't pay Flagship price of approx 85k For Dex & Spen and other small changes here and there.

Thanks for detailed insight about this topic.. As you rightly said, DeX is flagship feature which need to be more available in mid range is the whole point for my post. Else Samsung will lose this user base to new applications which you can get on Google Play Store.
Hint: Enable developer mode, inside developer mode #Allow application resize feature, install taskbar from Play Store,
you will be surprised to see similarity of DeX on any Android Device...

i have Samsung galaxy m21 and i did lot of research on Samsung DEX. actually its not about flagship hardware required its basically needs huigh speed I/o port. all m series phones have type c 2.0gen which did not have multiple data transfer i/o terminals.
