Recently I was on a call with someone on my Galaxy S21 FE with my Galaxy Buds Live connected to it. My phone was low on battery and I needed to head out so I plugged in my phone and transferred the call on my watch (Watch 4 Classic LTE). Buds Live didn't switch automatically to my watch. I had to manually connect it with my watch. Even after that, output was coming through watch speaker. I simply couldn't get the call audio being transferred to my Buds. Also, the mic of my Buds wasn't being used, instead mic of Galaxy Watch was being used.

Seriously Samsung, is this your ecosystem?

Auto switching support is only available on Samsung phones and tablets, and Samsung TVs from 2022 and later.

Compatible Galaxy earbuds:

Galaxy Buds3 and Galaxy Buds3 Pro
Galaxy Buds+
Galaxy Buds2
Galaxy Buds2 Pro
Galaxy Buds Pro

So problem is with my Galaxy Buds Live or Galaxy S21 FE + Watch 4 Classic, or all three?
BTW Galaxy S21 FE launched in 2022 and the article you mentioned
says that devices need to run One UI 3.1 and above.

There is nothing wrong with your devices.

Galaxy Buds Live may not support it. (As mentioned, in the article from Samsung)

Moreover, auto switching is also between phones and tablets (a few Sansung TV's too)

I have a Non LTE (Bluetooth Version) of watch. For me, it works with few hits and misses.

It's so weird that Galaxy Buds+ launched in Feb 2020 support it but Galaxy Buds Live launched 6 months later doesn't support...

That is so true.

They cut down software integrated features on devices running on the same UI.

This is just a subtle but forceful push to buy a newer version of the same devices.

Seamless connection is available though in Galaxy Wearable app.1731400626249_1731400626233_0.jpg

It is the Galaxy Wearable app.
The app is the same for all Wearables.

You are correct.
Ideally, it is supposed to be greyed out if it is not supported. And if it is allowing the toggle, then it should support

Dear Samsung Member,

As per your query, we request that you kindly follow the steps to resolve your issue.

● First, make sure the other device is turned on. Then, navigate to and open Galaxy Wearable on your phone.
●Tap the Menu icon (the three vertical lines) in the upper left-hand corner.
●The name of the most recent device (Example: Galaxy Watch Active2, Gear S3, etc.) will appear at the top of the list.
●Select the device you want to connect to, and the app will automatically connect.
Note: Keep in mind that Galaxy devices running One UI 3.1 or above must be signed in to the same Samsung account to use this feature.
