Auto Sync On/Off (Galaxy s10)

I heard that the battery significantly improves when the Auto Sync is Off. What is the pros and cons of turning off Auto Sync?

Is it suggested to Of the sync?

yes, pros you told already that is battery savings
cons. is you will not get notifications specially for emails, if you want and used email frequently then you will not get any notification
other than that if you sync your photos to Google photos to sync automatically on cloud then it won't upload

Except the emails notifications, does this effect other app notifications like whatsapp and messenger and other such apps?

you can disable auto sync when you are not using the phone, specially at midnight
