Tech TalkSamsung Internet 23.0 is live with an assortment of new and upgraded features focusing on ease of navigation and data management to provide enhanced usability, and a smoother browsing experience1.
Manage website data in Settings
Website data includes the files, images, cookies, and other info websites store on the device and this data helps webpages load faster and keeps user signed into sites.
Search has been introduced into “Manage website data” for ease of access. With this, users can easily punch in a keyword on the newly added search bar to find a URL visited in the past, thus saving the hassle of scrolling through hundreds of URLs to find the right one.
How does it work?
Go to More Menu -> Settings -> Sites and downloads -> Manage website data
Auto-complete the URL
Many internet users regularly visit a particular website to catch up on current events, yet they don't bother bookmarking it or adding it to their Quick Access list. To improve their browsing experience, Samsung Internet provides a seamless user experience by auto-completing the website's URL as soon as the user starts typing any previously visited URL on their device.
Consent pop-up when redirecting to another app
A lot of times while navigating, certain websites redirect the users to an external application, without any user gesture or explicit consent. With v23.0, Samsung Internet gives a pop-up before navigating to external application asking for user consent for the same and preventing users from being redirected to websites or apps without their explicit acknowledgement.

More powerful user experience using sync tabs
Samsung Internet has supported the tab group feature for quite some time, and now, users can sync Tab groups between multiple devices logged into the same Samsung account2. This enhances the convenience of navigating between devices seamlessly.

Extend a period for history management
In the past, a lot of users would have faced difficulties in locating specific URLs within their browsing history due to Samsung Internet’s limitation of displaying only the most recent 500 URLs. With Samsung Internet v23.0, users have been granted the access to unlimited browsing history, allowing them the access to all the URLs visited in last 90 days.
Upgrade to Samsung Internet v23.0 now, where the web engine has been upgraded to Chromium m115.

Thank you for being a part of the Samsung Internet Browser family!
1 Availability and timing may vary by market and carrier. Users of Samsung Internet Browser will receive notifications for the update on Google Play or Galaxy Store starting today.
2 Tab group sync is supported with Samsung cloud v5.4.0.7 or later.
