Have you ever been in a situation where you were too busy to attend any phone call or reply any text message (Such as in an exam) and someone is constantly trying to contact you by either of these means?
I have a lot of memories relating to the exact same situation.
And, trust me it causes a lot of problems.
After thinking deeply about it, I have come up with a solution. Please tell me in the comments whether its useful or not.
Here goes the solution:
It is all about slight modification in default call and messaging app. An option should be there where, we can set a defined message (text message for messaging app and audio message for the call app) that should be automatically replied to anyone trying to contact us in that specific period.
In other words, let's say you have an important examination tomorrow. You don't know who would be calling or texting you (for an urgent work) during 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. And, also it is not practical to inform everyone about the same. Now, you are in the middle of your exam. Your smartphone is in your bag. And someone is calling you back to back. He/she is texting you repeatedly as your reply is needed urgently. You cannot, in any way, answer (or even know about) that call (or text) until your exam is over.
Here comes the point where you can use that option. You can preset a reply, let's say, "I am currently in an important examination, will surely reply after 2:00 PM" for both text messages and calls. The reply will be automatically sent to all the text messages you recieve before 2:00 PM and an audio message will be played answering every call you recieve before the preset time. The other person will know that you are busy till 2:00 PM and connot reply before that. This would be helpful for both, us and the other person. Furthermore it can be used in many more situations such as in an important office meeting or for a 3 hour "chill only" time.
Customisable options would include custom time period, message etc.
It can also be made more customisable such as using voice changer for audio replies or setting custom reply for different contacts.
This all could also be combined in a specific "busy mode".
