samsung galaxy tab a7 2020 lagging while video playback in OTT platforms such as Netflix, amazon prime video and desney+ hotstar. Device is more than capable to run these things but it's still lagging. By the way nothing is running in the background and it still lags like crazy.its annoying problem please fix this problem ASAP.

Mine was having the same troubles until I did the latest update to the software. Now ITV Hub is working just great (which is needed because of the Euros starting!!)

Anyone having good results watching TSN?

Turning adaptive brightness on was a solution, but that no longer helps.

Other streaming sites work great. Weird, because TSN works very well on my older Samsung devices.

My tab a7 is updated to Android 11. I have lag problem with Hotstar, Viu and Netflix. Sometimes it takes a split second to move from one scene to another. And the most annoying problem is while meeting on google meet. It is almost impossible to complete meeting without having screen freeze and the "not responding" pop up will appear. Please correct this problem with a patch or update.

Hey.. i had the similiar issue.. not on OTT apps but educational apps like Egurukul, marrow etc.. none of the solutions mentioned here worked for me.. I realized later on that the solution involved simply tapping the screen once while the video was playing.. (tapping twice would show the options of video playback) the stuttering got resolved..

This problem seems to get worse with every software update. Particularly with TSN livestreams.

During streaming, if I keep scrubbing the screen with my fingertip the judder goes away completely but returns immediately when I stop. Anyone have insights on what that indicates?

Anyway, almost at the point of getting rid of this tablet and going with something else.

Exactly the same problem. Video is incredibly choppy on Star+. If i keep scrubbing the screen, the lag stops. This is clearly a Samsung problem. Will we have a fix for this?

Same here, when I keep my finger resting on the screen the video plays smoothly. The moment I release my finger the stuttering starts again.

I am having the same issue, but with YouTube TV and Sling.  My chromebook, smart TV and cell work fine, but the tablet (which I purchased a couple months ago) is extremely choppy. 

After exhausting all other options outlined on this thread, I finally did a factory reset yesterday but the problem persists.

I will be returning unless Samsung has something to say about this.

I have the same issues with the DAZN app, when I watch a live event the video lags and it is really anoying

If I play a non-live event the issue appears to have less impact, (the video lags only some times)

BUT here comes the interesting part, if I keep one of my fingers touching the screen the issue disappear, and as soon as I release my finger from the screen the lag comes back to the video.

I think it could be a problem related with the UI of the app at least in the DAZN app.
