The games on tab s9 series are so unoptimized, the rendering quality is wrose, it just looks like mobile resolution just blown up on a big screen. 8gen 2 is so much capable of of going upwards of 90 fps but all you get is 60fps in wrost resolution. There isnt even an option of 90fps in pubg/BGMI. Just get an ipad from 4 years back and comapre. Tab s9 gaming resolution is pathetic. So disappointed with samsung gaming team.
Tab S9 series is not gaming focused, it's a balanced option Tab S9 is for productivity, multitasking and note making only, recommended for students, artist and business person.
Then may be they shouldn't market it as "next gen processor for next level lifelike gaming" or "level your play with epic cinematic visuals". when all it manages to do is run PUBG at 720p 60fps
You are asking as if people buy things for uni use of considering just one feature. I obviously bought it for studying. That doesnt mean that it shouldn't be doing something that its capable of. My ipad from 2020 with A12 chip runs games at 1080p and above. SD8GEN2 is well capable of doing that if they optimize the gaming well enough. Capping such powerfull and efficient chip is so dissapointing, or may be just lazy at samsung developers team's part. Their marketing materials always boast about next level gaming while all the customers get is disappointment. 720p games on a tablet thats got vapor chamber cooling, and huge area to dissipate heat ? Tell me who is being lazy here.
I know, but i am just implying something that devs can do to improve overall experience not that i game hard on tablets. I have got a great rig for gaming if it is all for gaming. But for some people its the only device they got for gaming and might fall for their marketing tactics.Since competitors are doing so good with mobile platform gaming,as a fan all i want is samsung to improve and clean its image when they've got such a great chip in their hands; Yes i have a s22 ultra and s23+.
Dont get me wrong Gaming is not all bad on tab s9, games like wreckfest run 1080p max settings with vulkan API. But FPS games like PUBG is 720p and use open GL like seriously ? I just wish samsung pushes it a little further in games like genshin and PUBG. Hardware is all ready, red and hot to handle all of it with ease. If they can do it for wreckfest why not them ?

Its the Samsung that needs to collaborate with developers. Just like how they are doing it now, Game developers won't optimize games individually for 999 smartphone brands out there. Samsung needs to co-work and do that themselves. Akin to Apple and oneplus. Anyways got the update and now games run 1080p 90fps..
