After updating to the latest One UI version, the “Auto-lock Secure Folder → Immediately” option has been removed.
Earlier, Secure Folder used to lock immediately when we exited the app, which was a very important privacy and security feature.
Currently, the closest option available is “When screen turns off”, which is not equivalent and creates a security gap, especially when switching apps or using recent apps view.
Secure Folder is meant for sensitive and private data, and removing immediate lock functionality reduces user trust and control. Many users depended on this behaviour for instant protection.
I request Samsung to please:
Restore the “Immediately” auto-lock option, or
Provide an equivalent setting that locks Secure Folder as soon as the user exits it.
This change feels like a downgrade rather than an improvement. Please consider user feedback seriously and reintroduce this feature in upcoming updates.
