After updating to One UI 8, I noticed that Secure Folder no longer locks immediately when exiting the app. The earlier option to auto-lock “Immediately” appears to have been removed, and Secure Folder now stays unlocked until the screen is turned off or the device is locked.
This change significantly affects privacy and security. Secure Folder is used specifically to protect sensitive apps and data, and many users rely on it locking as soon as they leave the app—especially when switching between apps or briefly handing the phone to someone else.
The current behavior feels like a regression rather than an improvement, as it reduces user control over security. I respectfully request that Samsung restore the “Immediate Auto-Lock on exit” option (or provide an equivalent setting) in a future One UI update.
Secure Folder has always been one of Samsung’s strongest privacy features, and bringing this option back would help maintain that trust and flexibility for users.
