Hi everyone,
I’ve been wondering why Samsung hasn’t launched a dedicated mini PC so far.
Samsung already has a strong laptop lineup, which is great, but there’s still no mini PC offering to compete with products like the Mac mini.
I understand that Samsung’s broader vision leans toward “a PC in your pocket” through Samsung DeX, but mobile devices come with clear limitations. A smartphone, even with DeX, cannot fully replace a desktop-class system, and Windows remains a complete and flexible OS for many professional workloads.
Today, many of us working in AI, development, and home lab setups need compact machines that can:
Run 24/7
Consume low power
Handle continuous workloads reliably
Mini PCs fit this use case perfectly.
Apple’s Mac mini has proven that there is strong demand for small, efficient, always-on computers. With Samsung’s hardware expertise and ecosystem strength, it feels surprising that they haven’t entered this space yet.
So my question is: Why hasn’t Samsung brought a mini PC to the market to compete with devices like the Mac mini?
Is it a strategic decision, market prioritization, or something else?
Would love to hear thoughts from others.
Thanks
