I am unable to make in app purchases on the play store. I always get an error message saying please change your country although I am residing in India and my Gmail accounts are all logged in from here. I recently bought an international version of Fold 6 in Dubai.

I contacted Google support and despite their support I am unable to rectify the issue. I am having the same issue on my other Android hand set which is a One Plus.

I have also factory reset the handsets twice but still encounter the same issue.

Screen shot of error message is attached

It seems like the issue is related to your Google Play account's country settings, which might be causing a conflict due to your device's origin or recent purchase. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem: 1. Check Google Play Country Settings: Open the Play Store app and go to Settings > General > Account and device preferences. Check if your Play Store account is set to a country other than India. If so, you might need to update it. Note: You can only switch countries once per year. 2. Update Payment Profile: Visit Google Payments on a browser. Under Settings, ensure your profile's country and address are set to India. If not, create a new payment profile for India. 3. Clear Cache and Data for Play Store: Go to Settings > Apps > Google Play Store > Storage, then clear the cache and data. 4. Enable Location Services: Ensure your device's location services are enabled and set to high accuracy. 5. Verify Billing Information: Ensure that your billing address in your payment method matches your Indian address. 6. Use a VPN as a Last Resort: If your Play Store account is stuck in a different country, use a reliable VPN to simulate being in India and try again. If none of these solutions work, you might need to escalate the issue with Google Support again and explicitly mention the international version of the device, as it could be contributing to the problem.

Bro I have done all this including Google Support. What baffles me is why Play Store on my One Plus also shows same error despite me having subscribed the apps from there

That’s frustrating, especially if you’ve already done the usual troubleshooting steps! If the Play Store on your OnePlus is also showing the same subscription error, it might indicate an account-level issue rather than a device-specific one

I had mentioned my One Plus in the first post itself

Is this issue specific to this app only? Have you tried using other paid apps or subscriptions on your devices to see if they work fine ?
