Phone switches mobile data between sim1 and sim2...

I switched sim2 off, when you go to a garage and exit, now the phone disconnects the data and I have to do it manually everytime and choose data to use sim1. Samsung Note 10 did the exact same thing.

I complained about the note 10, I was ignored by samsung, this time I promise to keep complaining until they care.

I have put a video on you tube, I can replicate the problem when I restart the phone, but can't replicate the random ones.

I hope so too. Regarding roaming have you toggled off roaming from settings?

I did, but it seems the phone can not realize that sim2 is roaming, so even when roaming not allowed, Google fi works.

Could you try totally two different sim? I am having a theory that the cause could be the sim or network incompatibility.

good idea, I'll try to put my wife's UAE sim in my phone... but like I said, in the Sony no issue... so there is a glitch that needs attention.

today I got data has been paused because I reached a the max data limit... but I only set that on sim2, and I am using sim1 for data, why would the phone alert me that I reached the limit when I am using the no limit Etisalat sim? also a glitch.

and I tried, even with the message, mobile data works. so it was triggered by sim2, although I am using sim1.

I have sent error report number 8 today, still no help from samsung or even a call. I'll wait another few days, then I guess youtube is my last resort or go back to sony or try the new xiaomi.

Hi,

Please bring the devce to a Samsung Service Center to have it checked out. Find the nearest center to you online.

I can't imitate the problem in the same spot.. it just happens randomly when I go to a garage... going to the shop will only show data is on sim1...

I don't mind going, I am pretty sure though it will be determined without errors... however it's the same behavior as the note 10+. but the s10 didn't have the issue

hello,

I went to the service center in abudhabi, technician (danny) admitted to me that my phone looks like it has a programming glitch and that there is nothing he can do unless samsung sends an update. which proves I was right.

so, he took a video and said he will send it to his manager, the phone was on sim1, when I restarted the phone, the phone data went to sim 2 without my authorization. this often happens randomly without notice or restart.

I spoke to my companies legal team, we will collect all the samsung phones that do the same behavior, connect video behavior of this mattee and start looking into a legal action against samsung co. and the bills that cost us from the glitch, is the main topic.

when the phone switches data by it self and go to sim 2 without the users authorization, and the roaming function is off, it still uses the data from sim2 (the roaming sim) on its own, samsung should pay for the roaming charges.

we are also, not only taking about the s21 ultra, we are talking about my note 10+ that did the same behavior, and I also have proof that I contacted samsung in April, July, August of the year 2020 with the note 10+ (I was ignored by samsung) and now February of 2021 with the ultra s21, (in which the only support I got was; to go to a technician)

I even got more support from a median ambassador on this forum than samsung technician.

I assure you we have a strong case, I will also make a video and put it on you tube to gather more people complaining from the same problem and baring the roaming charges to a lawful suite.

this to be clear not to defame samsung, but to have samsung responsible for it's mistakes. as we all recall the note 7 explosion matter took a while until samsung admitted there was a problem.

I encourage all samsung users as I don't know which phones are effected with this problem to speak up, and what's most important, is to pay attention to any roaming charges that were not caused by the users or the carrier.

thank you.
