I have recently purchased Galaxy S24+ and have activated dual esim on it. I initially converted my Jio Sim to esim followed by my Airtel sim to esim.
My Sim Manager shows my jio Sim as sim 1 and airtel as sim 2 also network shows same thing but all other apps and diagnostic tools on s24+ detect my airtel sim as sim 1 instead of jio as shown in sim manager. I want my jio sim as 1st esim everywhere and airtel as 2 tried help from Samsung customer care but he was not able to help even with remote access of my phone. They have acknowledge the issuee and advised to visit service centre. But I doubt that service centre may tell me to factory reset the device or go for software update.with no assurance that it will resolve my query

Running your device in safe mode could help troubleshoot the issue by temporarily disabling all third-party apps. If the problem persists in safe mode, it's likely related to the device's settings or firmware. To enter safe mode on your Galaxy S24+, you typically need to press and hold the power button until the Power off option appears, then press and hold the Power off option until you see the Safe mode prompt. Tap OK to reboot your device in safe mode. Once in safe mode, check if the SIM card detection issue persists. If it doesn't, then it's likely a third-party app causing the problem. You can then try uninstalling recently installed apps to see if that resolves the issue.

Thank you for suggesting I tried issue persists in safe mode as well.
I am disappointed because I feel Samsung has not done proper detailing and no support from customer care apart from suggesting for factory reset.

Checking the linked phone number with an IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) isn't a straightforward process for individuals. Typically, the IMEI is used to track a device's status, but it doesn't directly reveal the linked phone number. This information is usually kept by mobile carriers for privacy and security reasons. If you need to associate a phone number with an IMEI, you'd generally need access to carrier databases, which isn't something available to the public for privacy reasons. However you can check IMEI number by Dialling *#06# on the device's keypad. This universal code works on most mobile phones and will display the IMEI number on the screen.

Did it once after initially activating the airtel sim followed by jio sim next I thought it had something to do with the sequence of activating it so I reset both the sim and activated jio sim followed by airtel the way I wanted it to be to my surprise even this did not resolve the problem. I still doubt that jio service centre could have scanned my imei 2 for activating sim which could have lead to this issuee, so even though I Installed jio sim followed by airtel sim, jio was associated with imei 2 and hence it's 2nd sim. This is was I am suspecting. Hence trying to find how to check which imei is linked to which sim
