Samsung Improvement Suggestions/Weak Areas
Keyboard and File Manager Issues:
• In the File Manager, in addition to Replace, Skip, and Rename, a Merge option and more targeted file options are needed.
• The Samsung keyboard's typing experience is poor; an option to uninstall or disable it would be beneficial.
• Even with Good Lock, keyboard customization offers limited benefits.
• Consider partnering with "Desh Keyboard," which is superior to "Swift Keyboard," rather than investing in Samsung's own keyboard.
• Samsung's voice typing is also ineffective. Switching to "Google voice typing" is recommended. The keyboard's performance is unrelated to its size; specific improvements are needed.
Network Connectivity Improvements:
• Even with dual SIM and 5G networks, only one SIM functions correctly for calls and messages.
• Wi-Fi calling should be user-enabled to resolve this issue.
• The S23 offers eSIM functionality for two SIMs, but only one can be active at a time. Activating the second SIM automatically deactivates the first.
• Network speed is unimpressive; increasing the MIMO count and number of network lines on the phone could improve speed, reduce radiation, and mitigate overheating.
• An on-screen/notification bar indicator for network speed is needed.
UI and Design Enhancements:
• Icon quality, design, shape options, and overall aesthetics need significant improvement.
• Samsung promises years of UI, Android version, and software updates. However, updates for older flagship devices are delayed, while new features are heavily promoted, creating a perception that users must purchase new devices. This is a psychological marketing tactic.
• The extended beta program and inconsistent communication regarding One UI 7 updates have led to misinformation and rumors on social media. Clearer communication from Samsung is needed.
Good Lock Customization Options:
• Good Lock offers extensive customization options, including themes and icon packs.
Samsung's Messaging Strategy Shift:
• Recently, Samsung made a major mistake by phasing out RCS in favor of Google Messages, possibly due to the Nearby/Quick Share merger deal.
