how to turn on edge light on notification?

Go to:
Settings>Display>Edge Screen>Edge Lighting

And make sure it is on. Edge light only works when your phone is upside-down (when the screen is the facing down).

Those Settings are for Android 7.0. I believe in Android 6 the option is under a tab called "Advanced Features" can't remember.

i have checked that , but still the same , edge light its on, and a phonw its face down but still doesnt work

it usually works on plane surface when sensor is not receiving light

search edge screen in the settings and from the edge screen turn on the edge lighting . try it then by placing ur phone on its face down and call to ur no on ur phone from some one elses mobile to check
