I've recently upgraded from an S9 to the S21 Plus. Since there is no longer any headphone jack, I bought an Aux to USB-C adapter in order to play music through my car audio system however I am getting the following error message when plugging in the adapter.

"The connected USB device is not supported."

This error pops up immediately after plugging it into the phone's USB-C port without being connected to the car yet. It does not appear when using the adapter with my S9.

Any ideas on what the problem could be?

I had the same problem when I upgraded from an S8 to the S20+. Instead of buying that dongle, I got an aux-in bluetooth receiver.

Sounds like something Apple would do. Hope this isn't the way Samsung are going as this is the main reason I don't use Apple products

Thank you for the responses. I bought a 3rd party dongle. If I buy the official Samsung adapter, will this resolve my issue?
