The s20 plus display issue!

This post is to express my concerns about the s20 plus display issue and the negative impact that it's going to have on Samsung as a brand.

Now since this issue has got widespread recognition, there is no hiding it. Just search s20 plus display issues and you will get around hundred posts. If Samsung doesn't provide a solution to the affected people at least now, it will affect the brand value and trust that it built over the years. As we all know trust and brand value once gone are difficult to gain back.

As someone who promotes Samsung phones over Chinese brands, I am saddened by this conundrum. I have recommended Samsung phones to at least 10 people in the last year and all of them bought the phones too. So, if this is the situation of flagship customers, what about others? Hence, this issue affects me as well, although indirectly. 

If Samsung loses public trust, what other non-Chinese options do we have? NONE. That's not a situation I would like to be in.

So, it's high time for the people in responsible positions to realize the fact that brand value, trust, and public support are achieved by years of hard work. However, it can be lost with one incident like this and that will mean a moral setback as well as huge economic losses in the long run.

Therefore, I hope better judgment will prevail and the users facing this genuine problem will get free of cost repair. 

Nb: I have applied for BA and this post may get me rejected. Nevertheless, I hope I am doing the right thing. Around 3 months back I made a similar post. Then there were only around 30 posts on this platform regarding this issue. Now, it has blown out. So, it's already late for a resolution. But then as the saying goes, better late than never.

True, Samsung india is really money minded. They even deliver software very slowly. And yes they give many privileges to USA consumers. Earlier in 2019 their flagships and midrange are priced less than USA and UK pricing and now it has become same or flagship even more costly than US and UK

Sheriya bro, china phone vangaan madi aayirunnu appo samsung mathrame undayirunullu, but these S20+ n restarting Exynos issue got really serious n response from company has been pathetic, also being a developing country with mediocre consumer protection laws also doesn't help.

Pinna that non-chinese alternative- I'm looking forward to the Nothing (1) launch on July12, hope it doesn't disappoint. It might be another alternative if everything goes right. Also I heard it's India made with HQ in UK. Kando aa phone..?

Yes, only now did I realize that Nothing is a non-Chinese brand. I too believe that they will emerge as a good alternative in 25 to 50k segment.

I bought f41 for my mom after I got fed up with motherboard failure in my redmi phone. But, now I am scared to update that phone, lol. All, phones that I bought from Samsung are good and satisfactory, as I made clear in my post before this. However, now I am not sure about how long these will last.

mine mom's phn is M21, chumma moderate use aanu athukond updates onnum athra importance chaiyarilla.😅 Thankfully the Exynos is behaving good in that phn.

Pinna aa nothing phone...it's looking good oru midranger avananu chance from various infos, design looks awesome to me, + the fact that it's the startup by OnePlus co-founder carl pei, nallathaya mathiyayirunn☺️.

Oru otta prasname ullu, it's name can backfire if the phn doesn't keep up with the hype, it can be easily called "nothing phn is nothing 😂😂🤣🤣😭", time will tell if it was stupiid or brave to name it as "Nothing".😝

Haha yes. We got to wait for the long term reviews. May be the first phone will be a big vfm deal like the poco f1, or it can be failure. We need to wait ig.
