Some times I have observed that smart stay function doesn't work optimally in s10e. Guys these are just my observations but this issue is being  faced frequently.
Any suggestions or comments & BTW I have already done with soft reset of my phone.

smart stay function works with clear light...and if you continuously focusing on screen at straight position..little bend your display or blinking eye on middle doesn't allow it

Smart stay may not work in the following situations:

 

  • When the device is docked or not held upright.
  • When the front camera fails to detect face and eyes.
  • When the source of the light is behind you or when using the device in the dark.
  • When the front camera is being used in an application.
