Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

As per your concern, we would request you to kindly perform the following steps to resolve your issue.

1. Check the SIM card recognition status in Settings > About phone > Status information > SIM card status > 'Network' menu.

2. Remove and inspect the SIM card for any damage or corrosion. Ensure proper installation before reinserting.

3. Test the SIM card in another working phone with the same carrier.

4. Consider getting a replacement SIM card from your service provider if the issue persists.

5. Try restarting the Galaxy device to resolve any temporary errors causing the SIM card recognition issue.

6. Clean the metal terminals of the SIM card to ensure no foreign substances are interfering with its recognition.

7. Follow the instructions to remove the SIM card tray, place the SIM card, and reinsert the tray correctly.
*Insert the tray separation pin into the tray groove.
*Remove the tray completely.
*Place the SIM card on the tray with the metal terminal facing up and gently press it into place.
*Insert the tray back into the tray slot.

8. Replace the SIM card if needed, especially if it has been used for over 5 years or shows signs of damage due to cutting.

9. Contact your service provider to obtain a new SIM card.

10. Reset your mobile network settings if the issue persists after trying other solutions. This will reset all mobile network settings to default values.

Path: Settings > General management > Reset > Reset mobile network settings > tap ‘Reset settings’.

In case the issue still occurs, please visit the service center for a physical inspection of your device. You can locate your nearest service center with this given link: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/service-center/
