Severe Battery Drain Issues on Samsung S24 Ultra

Dear Samsung Support,

I am experiencing severe battery drainage issues caused by Google Play services and the Samsung built-in app "Contact Storage." Screenshots of the issue are attached for your reference.

I have noticed that multiple users have reported the same issue on the Samsung forum since the beginning of this year. Unfortunately, the Samsung team has been responding with generic template messages without addressing the real issue. Here is the link to the forum discussion: Samsung Forum Link.

I also visited a Samsung repair center, where I was informed that many users are facing the same problem. Despite the service center's efforts, including sharing logs and installing the latest OS, the issue persists, and they are awaiting a response from the Samsung team.

The severe battery drain and overheating are causing significant concerns about the battery's health. I am seeking immediate attention to this matter, as the phone's battery life and health are seriously affecting my daily life. One of the main reasons I chose the S24 Ultra was for its battery performance, but now the situation is the opposite.

Please provide an urgent solution to this issue.

Same here, mine went to 26% drain a day. Now it's like 7 to 8 % a day.

What I found is the parallel apps cause heavy use of play store and contact storage application

So I will suggest is reset your phone do back with apps only do not turn on dual messenger
Use business WhatsApp or add multiple account in a single whstapp
Also turn off Google syn
Do not turn on dual messenger for any other app
Keep it off
Restore only dat do not restore phone settings from backup after reset

It actually helped me to solve the issue

Nithin brother, do we need to do a factory reset or only for the settings? I'm having the same issue, and the battery drains a lot, which is stressing me out a lot, I'm not sure what to do. 1722545759179.jpg

Hi after factory reset don't turn on parallel apps and turn off Google contacts sync it can help

Guys, after readings all the posts and comments related to this issue, I decided to delete the dual WhatsApp (you can now add accounts in whatsapp). This has resolved the issue and 'contacts storage' and 'play services' are no more in my top battery consumers.
