You can download an app from F Droid it's called "Keep Screen On". It works well whenever u want to keep your screen on for longer periods.

Because Samsung takes care of our device to prevent it from high battery consumption and pixel burning for AMOLED displays...

Btw you can use 'keep screen on while viewing' option. But for that you have to keep looking at the screen constantly.
