Dear Samsung Support Team,

I am writing to bring to your attention a usability issue I have been experiencing with my Samsung smartphone.

Currently, when the phone is locked, swiping down on the notification/quick panel allows the Sound/Vibration/Silent toggle to be changed. This often results in my device being accidentally switched to Silent mode without my knowledge, causing me to miss important calls and notifications.

I believe many users would benefit from an option to:

  • Disable or restrict access to the sound mode toggle when the device is locked, or
  • Provide an additional setting to lock the sound mode changes so they can only be modified through the volume keys or settings menu.

This small improvement would significantly enhance the user experience by preventing missed calls and messages, especially for people who rely on their devices for critical communications.

I kindly request that your team consider adding this feature in a future One UI update. I deeply appreciate Samsung’s commitment to innovation and customer feedback, and I am confident this enhancement would be valued by many users.

Thank you for your time and support.
