I dont know who they consider middle east as 2nd and 3rd tire when the major number of people can buy the premium phones and are in position to change them maybe be every couple of years these are thr markets they need to target.
In countries like US, UK and india chines phones like Huawei are basically banned they need to focus on markets that they have competition

Security update yearly only two times Samsung give 4 years update only 8 security updates middle East... Apple and Google pixel monthly give security updates....
