From November 2024, my Samsung S22 is having issues. The screen freezes and it used to restart, I thought it was a battery problem as my battery seemed to be weak than earlier also what I believed that it was due to damaged charger cable which worn out. So, I switched to a new cable, and it worked better than it was, but the restart issue sustained. It used to freeze and restart sometimes in a while, and I just became used to it thinking that I will get it checked by customer service. But in December 2024, the issue increased as the frequency of freezing and restarting increased than earlier and it was being problematic for me. So one day as I had an update in my phone which was pending so I updated it thinking that the issue will resolve. After the update, phone became unusable, it was freezing and restarting so many times. I visited Samsung service center the next day and the experience was bad. They asked me to get the battery circuit replaced first and after replacing it if the issue sustains, they told me to get the motherboard replaced which costs almost 30,000. I already knew that this was a motherboard issue as I had researched about this, and I expected the same answer as I read about this on Samsung Members Community on the Samsung Members App. Like seriously, how can a phone just keep freezing, hanging and restarting due to a faulty charging circuit. When asked about the reason, I was said that as it is connected to motherboard, we have to check or something similar they said. I have researched about this very much and this issue is occurring due to the update of One UI 6.1 update which is literally bricking the S22 phones. This has been covered by Forbes, few days back. If Forbes is covering this issue then it is surely concerning matter. Samsung really look into this matter as it is very concerning and so many customers are facing the same problem. If no solution is provided then Samsung will have to face the backlash and lose its customer base as after using years of Samsung Tablets and Smart Phones, I literally felt not to buy a Samsung again just because of this. Users facing the same problem raise your voice as much as possible that it reaches Samsung and they really do something about it.

I could only explain in brief over there as there was a word limit of 1000. Also, there was no direct ask question option, I had to find it and it was in send feedback option. Samsung India on X took my contact number and told me that the team will contact but no one has contacted me. It's almost 24 hours. I just want to ask the support team as you replied to me that you guys are reading the community messages and replying to them then don't you think there are so many complaints of the same problem and it's from Samsung end which should be borne by Samsung and the customer should get better customer service?

This is a common issues happening on most of the S22 phones after the latest software update. Service center are telling the reason as faulty motherboard but this is deinately a issue due to latest security patch update. Samsung should look into this and release a fix at the earliest as this is not expected from a samsung flagship phone.

Exactly, Samsung is not taking responsibility for their fault and is asking the customer to borne it. If a person buys 70k phone, he wouldn't expect this to happen. I am so angry on Samsung as I am using Samsung for years but now I have to rethink. How can a flagship phone's motherboard get damaged after 2 years? Complete disaster by Samsung.

I recently updated my s22 ultra to One UI 6.1. Since then, I'm facing bootloop issues & wifi not switching on. My processor is SM-S908B. Kindly provide a solution, if anyone had a similar one.

I also faced similar issue yesterday night. For full 12 hours my phone was stuck in boot loop and was not getting on. I also think its the latest security update or one ui 6.1 which is causing all this. Samsung should release an update for this as this is happening with a lot of s22 ultra users.
