Galaxy SI’m extremely disappointed with the experience I’ve had with my Galaxy S23 Ultra after installing the One UI 7 update.
Just after updating, my phone became completely unresponsive and dead. I immediately submitted it to the authorized Samsung Service Centre for inspection. They confirmed that there’s no physical or water damage, yet they told me the motherboard needs to be replaced for nearly ₹40,000.
Even more frustrating – my request was closed without any resolution or escalation, leaving me helpless with a dead flagship phone.
This is unacceptable. I’ve been a loyal Samsung customer for years, always choosing the Ultra series and recommending it to friends, family, and colleagues. A motherboard failure in less than 2 years, without any physical damage, right after a software update pushed by Samsung – how can this be the customer’s fault?
Also, the phone has over 2 years of personal and irreplaceable data, including precious photos and videos of my children, now stuck in a dead phone.
Samsung, this is a clear product fault caused by your update, and it should be repaired free of cost. We, as loyal customers, deserve better.
Requesting the community to support and Samsung to take immediate responsibility.

Galaxy SDear Samsung Customer Support,
Your response is deeply disappointing and reflects a complete lack of accountability.
Let me reiterate the facts:
My Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra became completely non-functional immediately after the official One UI 7 software update.
Your authorized service center confirmed there was no physical or liquid damage to the device.
I was asked to pay nearly ₹40,000 for a motherboard replacement, even though the fault clearly originated from a software update pushed by Samsung.
This is a ₹1,24,999 premium device, purchased just over 2 years ago, with a promised 7 years of software updates — what is the point of such updates if the hardware fails due to them?
Your “resolution” amounts to denying any responsibility for a fault introduced by your own update, and closing the case without any repair, refund, or data recovery. This is not support — it is evasion.
I have already filed a formal complaint with the Consumer Forum and will continue to escalate this issue through all possible legal and public channels, including:
Social media platforms
Tech media publications
Digital consumer rights platforms
Samsung must take responsibility for pushing a faulty update that has bricked a loyal customer’s flagship device.
I demand an immediate escalation to someone who can take real ownership of this issue.
