Galaxy SHi,
I had faced a green line issue after updating my phone on 12th Dec 2024. This issue appeared out of nowhere and I had contacted samsung support for help. They had suggested me to do memory clearing, which I did and didnt change anything, did safe boot, still no progress and then they told me to visit service centre. Upon their inspection the phone passed all the test and all they had suggested was to change the display and had given an estimate of 12,000 INR. When i surfed the internet regarding the same, multiple S22 users have been facing the same issue, and samsung had only given free replacement only for s22 ultra users? Why the replacement only for S22 ultra users alone, if this issue is being faced by a lot of S22 plus and S22 users? Why should the end user bear the damage fee due to their bug, even if the device is out of warranty? If it had happened due to physical damage or due to any third party apps, then its a valid reason to bear the cost, but this is not at all reasonable.
Is there anyone who faced the same issue and how did you resolve it?

Galaxy SThe update was sent by Samsung to the phone.. it was the software update patch that caused the issue.
Yet no I have to bear the full cost for your mistakes
And there is no accountability by samsung for the customers effected by this issue.. why are only few models provided free replacement ??.

Galaxy SHi Team,
My S22 showed up a green line despite stopping the 6.1 update. I checked with samsung customer care, they asked me to install Smart Tutor app, ran a scan and asked me to back up data and run the software update and said it might get fixed. I did push the 6.1 update and now I have 4 green lines and 1 pink line.
I checked with the service centre and they have now created a job sheet. I will now check with customer care and if they won't replace my display, I'm definitely complaining to National Consumer Helpline and post that filing a case in consumer court until they replace my display free of cost.
I feel so ashamed to carry my phone in public as even strangers mock you after seeing your phone and affirmatively ask if it's a samsung. As a loyal customer who used Galaxy S3, J7Pro and M31s to later dreaming and buying the flag ship phone S22 in the year 2022 after paying Rs 68000, this is a very disgusting experience. And the worst part is where Samsung is not acknowledging the same and addressing the issue with samsung users. I am very much sure that if this is not addressed well people will switch to other brands as this while Samsung had build a trust and now it's just loosing it. Also, how can samsung not include S22 in the free screen replacement list while they already have S21 FE in that ? I know mostly all of the S22 and S22 Ultra users facing these issues.
