S20+ showing proximity sensor light near front camera while calling in progress

Dear All,
I am not sure how many of us who has bought S20+ has observed that while calling in progress a tiny light is flickering left side of front camera.
Visited service station and currently in tough with Samsung for that same.But service station is saying this is known feature for S20+ and not an issue.
But my question is that is this acceptable that you would like to see a feature which is so often blinking an annoying light through display while calling and you are enjoying that feature.I guess not.

Bro that is the proximity sensor. You could have asked once here before going through all the tedious travelling to service centers.

Dear @Anikroyale, I totally agree with you that this is proximity sensor's light which is flickering while in use and every hand set is having the same sensor.Why on earch unnecessary light would you want to see coming out from you display.Note 20 series don't have the same as per my knowledge.

Note 20 series, Note 10 series, S10 series have the same thing.

Bro, that's proximity sensor and its available in our S10 series too..and if its blinking means your device proximity sensor is working fine..so its quite normal

yes @Sidhabhi you are right this is prosensor.But they should be place the sensor under the dispaly in a such a way that light could not come out.The flickering is unnecessary to anyone's eyes

This flickering isn't visible. And the screen should turn off the moment you put it on your ear.
