This test is of s20 fe 5g

Hi,

I'm trying to resolve my WiFi problems on Samsung S20 FE 5G. When I download large files (games, updates, big apps) WiFi speed drops from 300 Mbps (that's my provider speed) to < 10 Mbps or even completely stops. It happens after a few minutes of download (sometimes less) - the estimated download time goes from few minutes to few hours. If I continue to download speed usually goes up again after another few minutes. Or I can restart wifi/put phone in airplane mode/restart it - it restores normal WiFi speed.
What I've already tried but didn't help:
- reset phone network settings
- reset router to factory settings and tried changing some of its options
- changed WiFi channel
- checked in safe mode of the phone
- tried without my silicone case on the back of the phone (as it might be some overheating issue)
- set my WiFi network as unmeasured in the phone settings (don't know really if that's the correct name of this setting in English)
- set WiFi connection to use phone MAC address instead of random one
- disabled automatic switching to mobile data when wifi connection quality is poor
- update the phone to latest june version (Android 12)
- wipe cache partition
- turned on enchanced processing

This same issue i sometimes face on my s22 ultra too.

But i am having samsung m42 also which works completely fine and is stable with 300 Mbps - checked with Speedtest.net, ookla, fast.com.

I also did side by side test of all the three phone and noticed the same

On 2.4 GHz WiFi problem also occur but only sometimes - on 5 GHz it happens every time. I also didn't notice it on LTE.

I have also checked the same on ookla speed test in which during first 3 to 4 test i received normal speed after which it started to drop. I have attached the video of same also

I ordered my s20 fe 5g in November 2021 and then also noticed the same issue then i got replacement unit in that too same issue was there then i checked in my friend's s20 fe 5g too in which same issue was there.

Ps: My wifi connection is completely fine.
All the devices are running on latest update.
No hardware damages are there in any device and all devices are never opened or repaired.
Also if you want to try the issue on your device try using ookla and do wifi test 4 to 5 times then you will notice it or try downloading some large size files you will notice a severe drop in download time.

PLEASE HELP OR CONFIRM IF YOU ARE FACING SAME ISSUE TOO.

According to me every device ( s20 fe 5g) has this issue as i have tested it on more that 3 devices(1st one, replacement one, friends one) but not everyone tend to notice this issue because everyone only do ookla test 1 or 2 time and not everyone download heavy files

I guess maybe you got the same Results. There is nothing in this case to be trusted or not And to be more accurate you can use Google speed test, Netflix fast.com or can create your own Application to be 1000% sure
