In my case this is happening only in YouTube, and in Camera this is normal so don't worry, second don't try to use phone while your phone is heating this will cause crashes because of heating, this is a commen security mesaure to safe your phone from getting damage internally

Problem is not the phone but Google, I researched and this same thing is happening in my Brother iPhone 15 Pro Max

Yes extreme heating can cause lag issue in any phone be it iPhone or OnePlus and yeah this is not related to battery, 5 to 6hrs of SOT is normal in heavy usage and upto 10 hrs is normal in normal usage

just don't recharge your phone to 100% and don't discharge your phone to below 15% (20% is preferred)

Charging your phone to 100% daily will damage your battery in under 2 years

Saying this so you can keep your phone for many years
