Poor battery life - s23

Hi , 

I'm getting very poor battery life in S23 . It's been 11 days since I hav bought this phone. I don't have heavy usages . Mainly WhatsApp and instagram is what I use . Still getting only 5hr SOT barely. 

Other people I know are getting good battery life . Am I having a defective piece? Should I return this?

no atmost it takes weeks like 2 or 3

It's been more than 3 weeks . Still it's not very good . Got 6 hours sot barely . No games were played . Didn't use camera . Had insta ,Snapchat, teams , was on WiFi too . Charged morning . Drained by evening .

check for any background apps running or look for suspicious apps in apps section or you can take it to the service center

Instagram consumes very lage amount battery. Moreover S23 boards only 3900mAh battery. So getting an average of 5 hours is justifiable. Just observe that if it heats abnormally otherwise it's okay. If not heats, change settings of display 4K to FHD, Refresh rate to 60. 5 to 6 hours in S23 is fair enough in my opinion.

Always buy PLUS models for very good backup than base or ultra model

I agree, however, not everyone wants a hefty phone. S23 is compact and good for one hand usage
