My S20 ultra is heating like a hot plate.. My phone comes with exynos 990. battery life is so poor.. I don't expect this from Samsung.. I should have gone for OnePlus which comes with Snapdragon.. why Samsung you push us to this stupid exynos chipset 😭 Phone is good but this processor is trash. Anyone please tell any method to stop this heating and improve battery life... Otherwise I'm returning my phone.. I just bought it yesterday. It's very pathetic to see such a reputed company pushing this kind of faulty processor in a flagship phone 😔. I feel cheated. We should do something about it.. They are giving same phone with good qaulity Snapdragon processor in US, Canada , South Korea and China.. and we are getting this faulty processor at exact same price 😤

Ps: I have questions to fellow S20 plus users . Should I return it or not?

Sd is best one to go, you bought from flipkart? , then return it ASAP. Flipkart is reducing price again and again something is fishy, even in reliance digital its still at 65k

Yes I choose S20+ over OnePlus is because it's amazing camera, ip68 water resistant, wireless charging and other super features... But Sorry to say the phone is heating like a ironbox, battery draning fast and gaming performance is worst when comparing to OnePlus.. I don't expect this kinda heating from a flagship device... OnePlus won't heat or drop bettery like this... I can't use 120hz because of this battery issue 😭 if I can't use it.. then why I payed money for it? They are cheating us with this exynos 990 chipset... Snapdragon didn't not have this issue...

If you can return then do it ASAP

Facing it now on S20+, when i do multi tasking for more than 15 mins, camera front wide angle yes.
I did factory reset after 2.5 and 3 update. Still same. I feel i made a mistake in buying it 😕. Even after recent update its still the same. Even i can feel warm after using a case. Im using it since October. Battery life is decent for me, getting 7hrs 15 mins on previous a11 first stable build, but after this weeks bug fix, im getting 45 mins extra SoT

and for battery if you not done yet then do some settings to save more battery life and observe for next 1-2 days, it will give a noticeable difference

1. Settings>Connection>more connections settings> disable nearby device settings.

2. Settings>>Location>improve accuracy >disable
A. Wifi scanning
B. Bluetooth scanning .

3. Device care>battery >power mode>select "optimised" and "adaptive power saving".

And then click on "app power management >
And enable these 2 options.
A. Adaptive battery
B. Put Unused Apps to Sleep.

4. Long press on each app specially 3rd party app(LIKE FACEBOOK, YOUTUBE) and rarely used apps and also ON "GOOGLE APP" as well, then click on>app info> go to these 3 options below on by one

A. Mobile data> allow background data usage>off

B. Battery >allow background activity >off

C. Notification >disable unnecessary notifications like promotional and unnecessary reminder notifications.

5. Go to settings> privacy > permission manager > location> and check which app have accessing your location all the time and if you not using that apps much, then deny access or set as " allowed only while in use"
As unnecessary location access by 3rd party app causing battery drain.

6.  Go to settings > Google > on device sharing> check which 3rd party apps present there for e.g. if you use paytm , paytm will  shared data to show recommendation and suggestion which also cause battery drain

7.  Go to settings > account and backup> account > check which app syncing automatically there, and if any app which not necessary to auto sync then click on it and "disable sync"

8. Go to settings >apps>search "weather" >click on settings icon right side > change "auto refresh" settings as per your requirements and disable some unnecessary reminder. ( due to auto refresh it continuously consuming battery)

9. If you use Facebook frequently then disable "auto play video"
And if you are mostly uses mobile, on wifi connection then also disable "auto play videos" in YouTube.

10. Settings>Google >click on 3dot at right top corner>usage and diagnostics >off this option.
