Samsung has revealed One UI 7.0 software with the Galaxy S25 series but not a single word has been said about old devices, which shows sluggishness on the development side.

At Unpacked 2025, the Korean phone maker shared new One UI features and these are pretty exciting. The company has highlighted this OS with the latest flagship phones and announced generative AI integration.

Features such as Now Bar and Now Brief are among the top headliners of this OS update. However, the event was only about the new smartphones and inclusivity shown for previously released flagships.

One UI 7.0 Beta

Samsung opened the One UI 6.0 beta in August 2023 for the Galaxy S23 series and completed stable releases by the end of that year. The beta program is an indication that the company has started testing a new software update for users and it’s coming within a month or two.

However, 2024 wasn’t the same as the year prior, as Samsung delayed the One UI 7.0 testing to December, more than three months than the One UI 6.0 beta.

It's very simple, not many people are pre ordering the S25 series. Main reason to upgrade is One UI 7, so if they give it older devices sooner, people will not upgrade their devices to newer ones.

Yes, F34 is eligible for One UI 7, there's actually a list of samsung devices which are eligible for One UI 7 support in the community post, it will give you a clear idea for the same. Cheers😊

I know this is merely a question, that Samsung can answer, but a One UI 7.0 roadmap with projected rollout dates for old Galaxy devices would have been actually far better than not sharing anything and close to zero hint for future updates. Cheers😊
