Lag and restart issue with s23 while using instagram

My phone's been lagging like crazy on Instagram for two days now—it freezes, then restarts after a minute. I've tried everything, clearing the cache and all that. It's gotta be a bug; fix it ASAP, it's spreading to other devices.

That sounds super annoying — and you’re not the only one. A lot of users on One UI (especially S23/S24) are reporting Instagram freezing, lagging, and even causing reboots after the last few app updates. You're totally right — this feels like a bug in the app itself, possibly a conflict with Samsung’s system UI or GPU drivers.

Not happening on my S23 or Xiaomi Pad 6 but it is happening on my Dad's Redmi 13 pro and a friend's Moto Edge 50 Neo. Seems to be more of a Instagram/google bug.

Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Support> Tap on send feedback> Choose Composer> Select error report> select the appropriate issue category> Type your query and send.)

Note: To ensure relevant log information is included in the error report, submit the report within 3 minutes of encountering the bug or error, and do not terminate (swipe away) the Samsung Members application until you are notified that the report has been sent. This can take up to 5 minutes.
