Galaxy SDear Samsung Customer,
Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!
As per your query, Kindly perform the following steps to resolve Face lock issue.
If you are having difficulty unlocking with Face recognition, try the face registration again. Remove the current face data by opening Settings, and then tapping Security and Privacy. Tap Biometrics, then tap Face Recognition, and then enter your credentials. You can now tap Remove face data to clear the facial recognition data so that you can have a fresh start.
Tips for Facial recognition:
Show your face and your device unlocks: it doesn't get much easier than that. If you are having some difficulty, here are some facial recognition tips.
1. Glasses, hats, masks, makeup, bangs, and beards can affect the recognition process. Adding an alternative look can help the device recognize you in different situations.
2. Make sure you are in a well-lit area and the camera lens is clean.
3. For best results, make sure your image is not blurry.
4. Face recognition is less secure than Pattern, PIN, or Fingerprint.
We would request you to kindly perform the following steps to resolve Fingerprint issue.
Fingerprint sensor not working
If your fingerprints fail to unlock the phone, and you are asked to type in the lock screen password, follow the steps to resolve the problem:
Have you check your fingers:
Ensure that your fingers are clean and dry.
Note:
1: If the skin on your fingertips is peeling or cracking, or your fingerprint is difficult to capture, the fingerprint ID on your phone may not work.
2: If your fingerprints fail to unlock the phone while the phone is recharging, remove it from the charger and try again. If you are charging the phone with a charger and data cable from other brands when you use fingerprints to unlock the phone, they may interfere with the fingerprint sensor and cause the recognition to fail.
Clean the fingerprint sensor:
Clean the fingerprint sensor with a soft cloth. Make sure the fingerprint sensor is dry and free from any debris that may cause the sensor to be unable to recognize fingerprint.
Remove the Screen Guard /Screen Protector:
Samsung cannot guarantee compatibility with third-party products, as the thickness and structure of protective films or screen protectors may affect the performance of the fingerprint sensor. So if you are using third-party Screen Guard /Screen Protector remove it and try re-registering the fingerprint again.
Remove fingerprint and set up fingerprint again:
Remove the current fingerprint and set up fingerprint again. When you touch the sensor to set up fingerprint, make sure you set the entire fingerprint, including the outer area of your fingertip. Setting the entire fingerprint area enables successful fingerprint recognition with any grip.
Please follow the below steps:
How to remove Fingerprint:
Navigate to apps screen and tap on Settings>>Tap on Biometrics and Security>>
Tap on Fingerprints>>Tap on Fingerprint1>>Tap on Remove>>Tap on Remove again to confirm.
How to Set up Fingerprint:
Navigate to apps screen and tap on Settings>>Tap on Biometrics and Security>> Tap on Fingerprints>>Tap on Add Fingerprint>>Scan your fingerprint>>Place your finger on the sensor, then lift it off when you feel a vibration>>Tap on Continue>> Reposition your finger each time to capture the edge of your fingerprint>>Tap on Done>>Fingerprint added successfully.

2. Remember the Google password before resetting the device because it is required during initial setup.
3. If you do not remember then advise to reset (Forgot password) his/her Google account.
