Is it possible to use external microphone on Galaxy S9+?

I bought a clip-on mic with a cable and wanted to record a video with my Samsung Galaxy S9+ using that external mic audio, but it doesnt work. is that even possible? Is there a setting that I should change? and is it with powered mic or without its own power?

As I know it has nothing to do with power. May be it is not compatible.

just check using the wired headset from samsung coming on the box.

you have to use microphone splitter in order to use the microphone
external power not required
