There is a green line on my phone after the software update yesterday morning. The phone is S22 Ultra bought from Singapore in Feb 2022. Both the customer care and service center say that I have to pay Rs 21400/- for changing the screen. It is because the phone is of international model, it receives updates from outside India.
And if the green line appears again I will have to pay again. This looks like harassment. If the green line is appearing because of faulty update, Samsung should take respossibility.

You can also get free replacement if your smartphone name is not in list or any other issue like international warranty type But you'll have to follow some steps and that will took more patience and time.

Capture a picture of your smartphone and post on twitter with proper explanation and tag Samsung and Samsung India.
After wait for sometime, you will be asked to share your contact info in message after that one of the member will directly coordinate with you.
He will ask you to submit your smartphone to service center and they can't refuse.if they refuse directly call that authorised person. service center will dignose your smartphone and send the report to Samsung directly. After your phone's display would be replaced free of cost.

It may take around 15 days

Plz Accept solution clicking on 3dot right side nd Do follow for Regular Updates.

Thankyou for responding. I have spoken twice on the number given by you. Both times the response was same. That for international model the screen replacement will be chargeable. They were very specific that the updates received on international model are from somewhere else, whatever it means, and any damage due to it is not covered in India. They were unable to answer my question that when Samsung is an international brand, how can the service be country specific. You may check the call records, the call was made yesterday at 2.06 pm

There's still no solution. Why are the screens of Indian models being replaced for free and those of international models being charged when the source of problem is same, the faulty software update by Samsung?
