Hello,

I was looking to upgrade to Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra from UAE.

I have two versions available here, UAE version and International version. I will use the phone in UAE and India also.

My concerns are:
- Samsung Pay in UAE available?
- In-built Call Recording available ?
- Relevant 5G bands for Airtel India included ?
- Samsung Care+ support in UAE/India

Can anyone suggest the perfect version for me which is available in UAE ?

Certainly! Here's a breakdown of your concerns:

1. **Samsung Pay in UAE**: Both versions should support Samsung Pay in the UAE, but it's always good to double-check with the retailer or Samsung directly to ensure compatibility. 🇦🇪📱

2. **In-built Call Recording**: In-built call recording might be subject to regional regulations. Check if both versions offer this feature and if it complies with the laws in both UAE and India. 📞📝

3. **5G bands for Airtel India**: The international version is more likely to support a broader range of 5G bands, including those used by Airtel in India. However, it's best to confirm this with Samsung or Airtel directly for compatibility assurance. 🇮🇳📶

4. **Samsung Care+ support**: Samsung Care+ availability may vary by region. It's advisable to inquire about coverage and support options in both the UAE and India for the version you choose. 🛡🤝

Given your usage across both UAE and India, the international version might offer better compatibility with networks and services in both regions. However, always verify these details with the seller or Samsung to ensure the version you choose meets your specific requirements. 🌐📱 #Samsung #TechAdvice

The UAE version of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is the better choice for you since you'll be using it in the UAE where Samsung Pay is a major selling point. Both versions should have the necessary bands for Airtel India and Samsung Care+ support in both UAE and India.
While in-built call recording might not be available on either version due to regional restrictions, it's best to check with the seller for confirmation.

Is there any difference between the Middle East version and the UAE version?
From the Samsung UAE website, the model number of the s24 ends with MEA (Middle East and Africa)

and I see many reviews on YouTube saying the MEA version does not support Samsung pay

Above both answers are very good.

Being S23 user I will add my 2 cents. My S23 is bought from India now being used here in UAE.

- Samsung Pay works as I can add my UAE Credit cards in it. But it's Samsung Wallet India and supports India specific features like UPI, Digilocker based IDs. I am not sure if you buy Samsung phone from UAE , can you add Indian Credit cards. But you will be definitely able use UAE specific features like adding NOL card in Samsung Wallet.
In international variant you are going to miss both.

- In-Built Call recording, Again my phone being Indian variant has it and it works in UAE also. I think UAE and International variants won't have this feature.

- Relevant 5G bands used by Airtel and Jio in India will be there with UAE ,International variants BUT in India Airtel,Jio sometimes detect and block such variants from using 5G. Jio does this. So this is 50-50 case.

- Samsung Care+ If you need in either UAE or India then you must buy respective country variant. International variant will not have it.

Overall my suggestion to you, depending on your major time spend (UAE or India) you should buy UAE or India variant. Skip International version.

Firstly, it's important to note that the warranty coverage and software updates for Samsung devices are typically localized to the region of purchase. This means that if you purchase the device in the UAE, the warranty and software updates will be applicable to the UAE region, And Care+ is local coverage .

Furthermore, devices from different regions may have unique technical specifications, firmware, software, and application availability. While certain features like Samsung Health and Samsung Pay are supported in the UAE, their availability may vary in other countries due to regional regulations and app support , also the same for Samsung Pay.

Regarding call recording, it's essential to be aware that laws and regulations vary between countries. In some regions, including the Middle East, recording calls without the consent of the other party is prohibited by law. Consequently, devices sold in these regions, including the UAE, do not have the call recording feature enabled to comply with local regulations.
