Yes , as a non believer of this myth , I never really thought I'd say this , but the S23 Ultra is indeed being downgraded by samsung via updates.

In the latest update , "S918BXXS7CXL2"
They made these changes:

In cameras:

1. Camera processing time per-photo is longer, especially those above 19x. LIKE WAYY LONGER , an S22 ULTRA processed the image in 2-3s , this one took , 21s. Which btw wasn't the case before. Samsung thought that this would really go under the radar , but it didn't.

2. The camera shutter lag / capture speed has increased/decreased respectively.

3. While shooting in fast capture mode (not burst , just clicking photos fast) HDR fails and other processing is terminated (not the case in December patch).

4. Videos have worse transistions now .

5. Photos in Scene Optimiser come out noisy and Grainy now.

In overall performance:

My GB6 scores are similar on "Paper" , but , I've noticed this , games throttle more often.

2. Phone gets hotter faster (not the case for the last 2years, and I've seen this happen via an update , as it was literally cool right day before the update)

3. Screen dims on its own due to the latter reason.

4. Battery life is good , better than before, but still , standby time has gone down

5. THE MOST IMPORTANT : NETWORK ISSUES. The amount of drops from bluetooth connections, wifi, in-app refreshing , Mobile data connections now is crazy. I have tested before and after update too, same issue.

In Audio:

No real downgrades here , but Dolby Atmos lowers the max treble in any of the modes it has to offer (not the case before OneUI 6 beta on S23 Ultra Sep-2023).

Let's hope samsung fixes this ASAP. As this ruins experiences for people with older phones. And what's the point of *7 YEARS* OS upgraded , if your phone is degraded.

100 percent agree to each and every points. Since it's launch 5.1.1 has been best suited but after 6.x things began to fall apart. I wonder what is the point of getting 4 years or 7 years of updates when after 1 year things will not remain same or go worse.
