Free screen replacement for S series and Note series green line

My friend recently encountered the green line issue after updating to One UI 6.0 April 2024 security patch on his Galaxy S21 FE. Upon contacting the service center, he was informed that Samsung is offering free screen replacement for this problem on various phone models. He'll only had to pay for the GST charges. Here's a list of the covered devices.

Why it's only for 3 years old device what about after three years green line issue while updating the phone

It looks like not even able to update software in the fear of display getting damaged..
My samsung s22 developed multiple green lines out of nowhere. No fall or any physical damage happend. It finds very hard to contact customer support for a remedy. Really disappointing..!
