My friend recently encountered the green line issue after updating to One UI 6.0 April 2024 security patch on his Galaxy S21 FE. Upon contacting the service center, he was informed that Samsung is offering free screen replacement for this problem on various phone models. He'll only had to pay for the GST charges. Here's a list of the covered devices.

Ensure your device isn't having any physical damage on body.

Go to nearest service center and mention your problem.

Hope so you will get free replacement and need to pay for only GST on it

In case of damage you are helpless maybe a video recording before and after update can be shown if there. If not then be ready to spend money from your pocket. You need to prove its software issue, physical damage may create problem.

I can understand but they are having certain conditons. You can't prove yourself. You should have made a video recording. Try to speak with other city service center people and try to explain your issue. They also know its due to software problem but they abide by the conditons mentioned by samsung.

Request them. Try other service center. Tell them you updated the device 1-2 days ago. If nothing works post on X(twitter) or linkedin and tag samsung for it.

Try going to multiple service centers.

Request them for free replacement if your body isn't damaged. If it's having any dent or damage then you need to pay and repair it or somehow prove it happened due to s/w issue maybe using some before and after update video or anything.

If nothing works and you want free repair use social media to raise your voice.

If you are in urgent need pay and repair your phone. (10-15k)
