Free screen replacement for S series and Note series green line

My friend recently encountered the green line issue after updating to One UI 6.0 April 2024 security patch on his Galaxy S21 FE. Upon contacting the service center, he was informed that Samsung is offering free screen replacement for this problem on various phone models. He'll only had to pay for the GST charges. Here's a list of the covered devices.

My friend has done it. Infact I got the conversation ss from him.

Same problem with my phone. When I contacted the customer center in person they refused to replace the screen free of cost.

Try with some other. Request them. Officially FE isn't covered.

I have S21 2 days back while I was using instagram out of no where a green line came ,I haven't dropped the phone ,no pressure was applied over it nothing wrong was done. When I enquired about it on service centre they said it is out of warranty period .But what has the green line issue to take with warranty I mean any update of yours has caused it you should take up the responsibilities .Can someone tell what can be done in this case apart from paying 13000 to screen replacement?

1. If your device is less than 3 years old.
2. Device has no scratch dents or physical damage.
3. You faced this problem due to some software issue.

Then you can claim the free replacement offer. If you fall under above conditions and still are denied to claim free replacement you can try with different service center or can raise your voice on twitter or social media handles till samsung officials address your problem.
