Extra space under keyboard

after updating to oneui7, i am seeing there is extra space under the keyboard. Even after hiding the keys for keyboard selection and collapse keyboard button. And if i enable them the space increases even more.

is anyone else having same issue? my keyboard app is not samsung or google. In gboard this issue is not present. but i cannot use gboard. 

if this is a common issue, please suggest any solutions you might know. please note changing my keyboard app is not an option for me.

As you said this happened after the update, So you should consider telling the same to keyboard's App developer to push an update to fix this.
