I bought an imported cellphone with this big charger that does not work unless I hook a local adapter... I wonder if the cellphone could suffer any damage because of this. Thanks
You won't have any issues as in Colombia the voltage is 110V and frequency is 60Hz. If the phone was purchase abroad probably will be designed for 220V.. so you don't even need an step-down for it. Otherwise can purchase a new charger from Samsung Colombia, near to Centro Comercial Andino (Bogotá).
