Disappointing Response to S22 series Display Issue - No Free Replacement for Green Line Defect

Hello Samsung Community,

I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment regarding a persistent issue with my Samsung Galaxy S22 and Samsung's response to it.

Issue:

  • Model: Samsung Galaxy S22
  • Problem: Green and pink lines on the display after a recent software update (6.1)

Despite Samsung acknowledging this defect and extending a free screen replacement program, this extension is limited only to the S22 Ultra model. According to a Samsung representative, this decision was made because "not all S22 series customers are facing this issue."

My Concerns:

  • This issue is affecting my S22, and likely other S22 series devices as well.
  • The decision to exclude the S22 base model from the free replacement program feels arbitrary and unfair.
  • It is disappointing to see Samsung not taking responsibility for a known defect that affects multiple models in the S22 series.

I am sharing my experience here to raise awareness and to see if other S22 series users are facing similar issues. Samsung needs to acknowledge and address these defects across all models, not just the Ultra variant. If you have experienced the same problem, please share your story.

Samsung, I urge you to reconsider your stance and extend the free screen replacement program to include all affected S22 models.

I too have faced the green line issue on my S22 Plus after the June Security update.
The authorised service center was not interested in diagnosing the cause or even in logging this issue.
The Samsung members chat response also only asked to visit the service center and did not help with a complaint I have lodged through the phone helpline for this issue.

Please do post an update if anyone finds a solution.

I am also facing the green line issue on my S22plus mobile. Service Center and Care people are denying to replace the display with free of cost. This is because of their software update issue but they are denying to accept their mistake and asking us to replace the display with Rs.16,000/- cost. Please update on this issue and when it will called our for the free replacement.

I am also facing the same problem after the software update a thin green line appeared now a thick pink line is appearing on the left side of the screen. The line is so bright that I am unable to use the mobile itself. The service centre people are stating that it would cost ₹12000 for the display replacement. Samsung should replace the display free of cost to all the users who encounter such problems
