Device is overheating a lot after the recent software update having security patch level of 1 july 2025 on my Samsung S20 FE 5G. Even battery is draining fast. No other changes were made apart from the software updates. No new apps installed. I visited service center and they said that samsung intentionally did this with software update so that I purchase a new device now. They told even if I get a battery replacement, the battery backup won't improve because after software updates, the performance of device reduces. Same was accepted and confirmed by Samsung customer care representative as well when I called them from service center to explain what the service center is claiming. I have all the call recordings. As I don't have budget to purchase a new device, I request Samsung to revert the issues that were caused with recent software updates so that I can continue to use my device normally. But if you won't do that, you should understand that this will be my last samsung device if this is how samsung intentionally causes device to overheat and battery to drain fast so that we purchase a new device.

The most shocking part for me was how the service center was openly accepting that Samsung intentionally reduces device performance with software update. When I called customer care number and told what service center said, she initially got angry that how can service person say that, so i made them talk over call but service person continued to explain the customer care person that my issue won't be resolved with battery replacement as software updates causes reduction in performance and I should purchase a new device.
