In S23 Ultra, camera zoom works fine till 2.9x zoom in dark places. From 3x, it goes black. I cannot see anything on the screen at night above 3x zoom.

As a temporary solution, you can adjust the quality optimization setting to 'Medium' or 'Minimum' within the Intelligent Optimization section of the Camera settings.
Path: Camera app > Settings > Intelligent Optimization > Quality Optimization and select either 'Medium' or 'Minimum'. The default setting is 'Maximum'.
