I am a big fan of samsung, but slowly my interests are moving away from it as they are using the already very low exynos 990 in the new flagship note20 when all the rest of the wprld is getting snapdragon865+

Just in couple of days you can't find any difference so fast.

Samsung makes the Exynos chipsets and uses them on their phones. there are very few oems who use Exynos chipsets. making own silicon chips gives greater control over the phone, just as apple.

Samsung sells snapdragon variants in USA, China and it's home South Korea. rest of the world gets Exynos variants..

Brother, you are correctly said that but thing is we all know this fact and still we love the flagship for its performance whether its exynos or snapdragon....I have used note 3/4/8 and now will upgrade to Note 20 ultra ....Go for it or wait for 1/2 years for some other major upgrade....Samsung makes the superb phones...

here is the catch, they are working well in the beginning. once time passes say 6 months i see a lag in the device. i am a samsung member since long time , starting with samsung note2/ s3/ note4/s7 edge/note8/s9plus/s10plus/note10plus.
currently using samsung zflip

I cannot agree with it. I'm using an Exynos version Note 8 and still the phone is buttery smooth even after multiple security patches. Only thing concerns me is that the price they hike every year.
