note 9 - flickering issue / horizontal lines / faded resolution

after my recent may 2020 software update on my 11 month old note 9 the screen started flickering and grey horizontal lines and yellow screen appeared- within 24 hours it becomes worse to point you cannot read my expensive phone is now a useless tool as observed by another observer - at low brightness (unusable at daytime) the lines and flickering disappears it also nis ok at extreme brightness the samsung service centre repair guy in Singapore insisted its a screen damage issue from dropping and ignored my feedback that there are other cases reported online bought a high end phone from Samsung on misguided perceptions Samsung is smart reliable and know what they are doing - these update 5 and previous one (greying screen) proves otherwise

I had to upgrade to Note 10+ for the very said reason. It's a inherent defect in Samsung Galaxy 9/9+.Samsung is not honest. Similarly, Samsung claims in public domain that Knox Security inbuilt in the handset is 100% secured, which is also a false claim. Better have a paid version of antivirus.

There is no defect as i am using or the people who using it.There is no need of antivirus and Samsung created as it own security software as every company does.So i am so sorry if i am hurting you.These online products only we cant trust.

I am using note 9 for a year and not getting like this error.Go for customer care if you can.Maybe they can help rather than service center

You might be aware through the community posts by now, it's the March update which screwed up things for the flagship. Hopefully the upcoming 2.1 update fixes this!

Would Cost Rs.17500/- INR if out of warranty. This was the estimate given to me for the same issue. Installation of good paid Antivirus is necessity of the day. My Note + was hacked despite Knox security of Samsung, which they had confirmed, thus, I feel you need it. Rest is choice of personal perception & so long one doesn't face an issue of security breach, which I had faced. Till such time, I also believed the Knox security as absolutely secure.

Please be assured and to resolve "Display " issue kindly follow the given below steps:

1) Safe mode:-Power off the device > Press and hold the Power key for one or two seconds to turn on the device > When the Samsung logo appears, press and hold the Volume down key.
Note :-To exit safe mode restart the device .

2) Reset the device: -Kindly create data backup of your device via SMART switch mobile application or http://www.samsung.com/in/support/smartswitch pc suite.

Tap on Settings>Tap on General Management>Tap on Reset.

 

If the issue still persist, kindly register your concern in Samsung Members app (Samsung Members app > Get help > Feedback > Error report/ask question).
Note: Please send device log files within 15 minutes of issue occurrence along with the exact issue details.
