Galaxy NoteHi guys,
My Samsung Galaxy Note 5 screen out of the blue decided to show weird lines. Then when I restarted the phone the display didn't turn on. I decided to shelve the phone after repeated attempts at restarting it. When I turned on the phone after a month, the display turned on. The screen was functional for a good 2 hours and then it showed the same weird lines. When I restarted the phone the screen wouldn't turn on again.
I feel like the display connector has a loose connection with the main board. It might have come unseated.
A Samsung Rep at the Service Center tells me to have the entire display replaced. The phone has never been dropped nor has it been mishandled.
Does any one here have any advise regarding this?
Thanks,
Vish

Galaxy NoteI would suggest you to follow the steps below to check for dead pixels.
1. Tap "Phone" and dial the following, *#0*#
2. Tap "Touch" and test your display. If the result is good, go back to the menu and try to test with RGB colours.
If you find any dead pixels or unresponsive areas on your screen, I recommend you to follow the customer care instructions.
Thank you.

Galaxy NoteHi DevCode,
Thanks for your swift response.
But Currently the screen is not turning on, hence I can't type the number you mentioned.

Galaxy NoteHi Anikroyale,
Thanks for the advise, I'll have it checked if it's a display cable problem. Since Note 5 is an old phone at this point, it wouldn't make sense for me to have the display replaced as the quoted prices exceed the value of the device by a large margin.
Just wanted to give it a shot though.
